Since our Colorado, Animal Rights Champion Governor mandated cage free, free range chickens, I've only seen a small decrease in egg prices here. I think our chicken farmers here have to have employees go on an Easter egg hunt every morning. I'm just guessing at this, but how else do you find the eggs. It's illegal to sell anything else.

I did some shopping today. Eggs are down, yes and more available and no sign that states no more than 2 dozen per customer, however almost every thing else is up and many items up a lot. Fresh produce is way higher than even 6 months ago in the dead of winter.

We sold our extra eggs for $2.50/doz and still do.

Have not seen produce more expensive in our area. If anything it is cheaper. Just bought a couple dozen ears of sweet corn for 0.33 each. Not sure why I even grow it when I can buy that cheap and it is dang good.

Bananas did go from 0.49 to 0.55 a pound.

$3.49/doz here. Produce prices are steady or down. Beef prices are nuts, glad I bought a half last fall!

Farmers around me recognized this non-sense and are making loads due to these regulations passed by liberal states. Chickens are in large barns with access to outside. Hence they are free range and cage free. Chickens by nature lay in same spots which happens to be nesting boxes with roll away floors that go to conveyor belts that bring eggs to processing room. Very little labor needed to harvest thousands of eggs daily. Farmer I go to church with few months ago just collected 60 millionth egg that morning and ships out semi-load every other day. Robots wrap the pallets up for processing. Thanks for making sure chickens are cage free and free range - folks are definitely capitalizing on it around me.
