It’s nice not having to do deep cleaning on the house and being able to enjoy time with my family and not have to clean all the time. We still clean up and vacuum every day and keep a nice house. But she does the deep cleaning like windows, base boards, showers and what not. Gets time back to spend fishing, hiking and doing things with the wife and kids.

Worth the money for the time I get back with them…. Family time is what’s important. The boys keep their rooms clean so she doesn’t have to even go in there, she isn’t their maid, they have responsibilities.

Not raising spoiled children around here. They know their way around a dish rag and doing their laundry.

my cleaning lady is going on SSI and hasn't been cleaning , getting to be a mess around here , but I will clean it up when we get back from fishing , thats what I tell myself.

My wife has MS and finds it more difficult, well impossible, to clean like she used to, so we had a couple different cleaners over the last few years...but...they all take short cuts, get lazy, have bad days, but still get full pay.
Finally fired the lot and I do the heavy stuff while she does some light cleaning....For over 5g a year, I'm making money!...lol

It ain't just the rich, I think I'm the only guy that still mows his own grass, this place is like rush hour with all the yard maintenance trucks and trailers....ripe hunting grounds for ICE....

It would be hard to find a conservative on Nantucket. Anyone who admitted to being conservative there would likely suffer vandalism and harassment.

Granted Republican/Democrat doesn't necessarily equal conservative/liberal....... Democrats outnumber Republicans in Nantucket about 2.5:1, but most voters there aren't registered with either of the two main political parties.




Median household income in Nantucket is about 120k/year and the median home.value is 1.3 million. It's a pretty safe bet that there's plenty of rich Republicans, along with rich libertarians, independents, green partiers, etc etc in Nantucket using the same cleaning companies and lawn companies as the rich Democrats.

I thought Democrats were trained to hate the rich. Isn't it the evil rich who "don't pay their fair share", no matter how much of the tax burden they are actually carrying?
