I only see the cheap bottom open ones in sale mags that don’t even show up on their home page. The cams there are different but the clam split types are gone. I liked the old HD cams they took a good pic the newer one the pic seems smaller now.

I’ve got plenty to get me buy just looks like they are going cellular but the cellular ones are hit and miss in the cat country or the Black Hills Forest.

Maybe the new satellite services will improve reception if the idiots don’t outlaw them.

I've got one old Bushnell and it takes good pictures but doesn't seem to trigger on smaller animals like bobcat and coyote, I've never got a picture of either with it, and fresh tracks in front of it. Cell service is nonexistent in most areas I put up cameras, and they are expensive to feed to bears and people who either decide that they make a good target, or that they need them more than you do.

Shot my elk at a wallow last year right in front of a cell cam and nothing on my buddy’s camera that was very disappointing it would have been cool to see. I have him weeks before in the same wallow but he was a bit closer or it had a better signal then.

Here’s a pic from a Bushnell HD old style camera.

I know this camera has to be close to ten years old, but it is the only Bushnell I've ever messed with. Not sure if it is older than yours or not.

I’d say most of the Bushnells I own are 10 years old some older I know when I need to reset some of them some default to 2018. I replaced some with the newer cheaper ones that Bushnell doesn’t even show on their web page but the quality is not the same. They do show expensive ones but I’ve never tried them.

Most of the HD cams I have I bought using my Cabela's points to ease the pain at checkout.

I have used Bushnell for years, at least 15. I am done with Bushnell though. I just purchased replacements for my Bushnell cameras of a different brand. I bought some of the cellular cameras a few years ago and they have been nothing but a headache. Leaks, stop working with no warning, can't detect etc. A few years ago I began switching all my cameras to cellular. Of the Bushnell I got three cameras, all 3 have been replaced due to problems, now one of the replacements has died. Enough.

They don’t appear to be as aggressive in the market like they were in the past when they sold the HD, I’m too old to get into cellular ones now since I’m trapping less its not a great investment.
