WD, not sure I would worry about the pressure treated but the lumber yards around here would let a guy bring it back and get something else. oops, didnt see they were cut

That's not including good dirt and compost to fill it up and plant in.

may want some small hole wire on the bottom to keep voles and other pest from s
digging in and setting up house. Saw a lady having that issue and that's was the solution they fellow helping her came up with.

My wife has been wanting raised beds and. I think it would be nice to have them on the perimeter of the maine back yard garden as a fence to help keep rabbits out. BUT ... I work it with a tractor and that would limit that and the garden is way to darn large.

I saw a salvage place selling used gard rails and thought they would be nice for making raised beds out of.

I call that making doll clothes. It works for doing the wash/dry. I am still on the hook for the folding and putting away.

Wolfie, man up and tell her you ain’t gonna build it no matter what. You will be able to better plan your future shortly following that.

You'll be fine Wolfy. Just don't ever vacuum right. That will be the end of you.
If you vacuum right, she will still ridicule you like you can't.
Save her that stress by not even trying.
That's what a thoughtful husband would do.

I would bit the bullet and buy or get a used steel stock tank and forget the wood.

I find that wood pulls moisture out of the soil so that you need to water more often, rots or leaches chemicals into the soil depending upon what you get for wood and it will warp, twist and general be a short term thing.

I have wood now, when that gets so bad I'm looking at steel stock tanks.

They sell them without a bottom just for raised beds. I would like about 12 of them so each kid I'm my wife's class can have their own garden to plant.
