My partner in my nursery business bought around 6000 to 7000 plants in partial 128 cell plug trays. We mostly got tomatoes, peppers, zinnias and marigolds, but we also got most of a tray of lemongrass. She, up planted most of the plugs in larger pots, to grow out to sell. We have many more plants than I think we can sell before the Summer heat kills most annual plant sales. We are planning to plant the left over plants here on my farm to produce produce to sell.

We have a large number of lemongrass plugs. I know Asians cook with lemongrass. I know it's used in teas. I know beekeepers use it to attract and catch swarms. I've never used it for anything. If I plant the extra lemongrass plugs here to grow out, what can I sell the grass from the mature plants for usage wise?

Most recognized is brewing in teas, but it can be used to flavor anything from salads to soups to meat dishes that you want to added a citrus flavor to.

Find a few Asian grocery stores near you and sell it to them like bundles of onions or celery maybe. Im not sure if I have seen that in the Mexican groc stores or not but maybe check there too. Find a good asian restaurant with an actual chef trying to buy fresh food. (Not a line cook buying from Gordons.)

Might ask local restaurants that aren't chain restaurants if they would be interested in a supply of lemon grass.

Market it as mosquito repellant:

Does lemongrass keep mosquitoes away?
Yes, lemongrass can help repel mosquitoes. It contains citronella, a natural oil known for its mosquito-repelling properties. Many commercial insect repellents include citronella as an active ingredient.Jul 22, 2015

Crushed dried lemongrass is great for pickled okra. You use it instead of dill.
