Do you own any cordless tools? Drill or impact driver? It's all about ease and convenience. Nothing ticks me off more that messing with cords. And mowing without smelling like gasoline and exhaust is nice. And quiet.

I think my point was they're trying to go all electric on about everything from home heat, vehicles, lawnmowers, chainsaws, etc.

Now if we ever go nuclear this would make more sense...But when your politicians are fighting generating electricity with coal & gas it's agenda driven folly....I like hydro also, but wind turbines are obnoxious landscape blight.

Understand people like odorless, quiet, equipment that you don't have to start, but the grid will not handle it in a few short years if this continues, and that's a fact....Know this because my occupation was a boiler/cogen operator for 35 yrs and witnessed many peak demand events where blackouts were necessary...The nations grid and reserve capacity was in dire shape 5 yrs ago, it's even worse now, as we go more electrical everyday.

Just some food for thought, we're really not that far from becoming a 3rd world country in regards to our power supply....Trump has the right idea with his energy policies, he's our only hope.
