Sadly the tube magazine version is super scarce and more pricey .This DBM model of mine is a BUST .It came with 7 &4 round mags .The 7 s are OK if you do not mind large mag way below flush .The 4 rounder will rimlock if you are not careful when you load the 3 round .Top it off by shooting off of a large rest ( coat over the hood of a pickup ) the mag release is long enough to press on the coat and release the mag ! I have never had a rifle with a DBM that was reliable . Anyone have the same rifle and experience this ?

I’ve had that issue with other rifles, not that specific model. The .22 I take grouse hunting most often will drop the mag if you aren’t paying attention. It’s a Stevens/Savage model 62 I think…maybe model 64, idk. It’s a little auto loader with too big of a mag release from the factory, so I cut most of it off. Still gotta watch it though, rest it in the wrong spot and it becomes single shot real fast lol

What do you mean when you say “ rim locked”.

My 15 year old has an xt .22 mag fed rifle and not had an issue. but my 12 year old has lost his mag out of his cz .22 hiting the release. That's a. expensive mag to replace.

I have on old beat up savage 62 like tramps I have had since I was 18 and never lost the mag out of it. I have replaces the mag a time or two because the bolt will wear off the mags feed lips and inhibit function over a lot of rounds.

Rim the of round below ahead of the the round to be fed . You tube explains best
