With all the high water I tried a smaller stream catching 6 brook trout and letting one smaller on go, keeping my legal limit of 5.

How big does a brook trout need to be to be a good size to eat?

I think I've only eaten trout once in my entire life.

Did you find a deeper hole of water to fish in than the pics you posted? Doesn’t look like there’s enough water to get that spinner spinning.
