What's the most narrow a guy can go when building coon ages and they still be pretty effective in just normal use ? Most of the ones I've built are 10"-12" wide but considering going down to 8".I know I've built some 8" double doors for a few people but those are being used in bushed up trails so about different then these at are just singles and can be set anywhere confused

Mine are 12" but have one 10". Set side by side the 12" will catch more. JMO, I would think you'd get more refusals with a 8" door.

I wonder if tap dancers walk into a room, look at the floor, and think, I'd tap that. I wonder about things.....

I wouldn't try to squeeze them on baited sets. You have better luck getting shy coon into a big cage

The width isn't all that important. It's the height that's important.

The ones I like best are 12x12 but have caught them in smaller - but our coons run very big in Iowa. Where you are I'd guess 10x10 is good enough

Ztraps makes a narrow cage for coon. I’ve caught several which struggled to turn around in them. But they went in and got caught so narrow width hasn’t been a problem so far
