Dropped her off at the airport yesterday. First day at the shop without her and realizing all the little things she does (that I don't realize) quick! The big things like payroll, HR, etc. we tried to cover. But the glue that holds it all together is nondescript at times. It's gonna be a long two weeks and she is getting a raise when she gets back!

Today was her first day in London. Over the next 12 days her and her friends will be making their way through the UK ending in Scotland. When I met her she had never left Michigan other than a school D.C. trip. Our honey moon was her first time on a plane, boat (cruise ship) and a real beach (ocean). Her and our daughters have done a bit of exploring the U.S. over the years but now its time to see the world. Rachel has always been confident and strong but seeing the eager thirst for adventure on her face is awesome!

We have been together many years and she has adapted much of her life to my likes and comfort zones. Took a bit to realize how lucky but also how unfair I have been. Give them wings if you love them.

Next year maybe her adventure will be Hawaii. We will see what SHE thinks.

Don't go to Hawaii, go to Australia, it's way better and much more beautiful country, people are friendly, roads are backwards,
LOL I've been to Hawaii 3 times thats enough, everything it got worse the beaches crowded, traffic a nightmare, food is great but it's much better down under, can understand for most it's a cash hit to travel that far and you do need a passport, but save up it's way worth it !!

Oh but a country, I never wanted to leave when I went on vacation there, we stayed a whole month, then visited New Zealand for two weeks, was just awesome !!

if it were me Australia for sure. But this one will be her get away. Her choice. Saved and worked hard for years. Forcing her to spend some on her.

My wife was gone 4 months visiting the kids in Texas and bought a house across from my son....It was a sad day when I picked her up at the airport....
