New member here.
I’ve got about 20 9” long Oneida Newhouse trap springs, I have listed on Facebook Marketplace place. I’m tryin to come up with a value for them, I can’t find any stamping on them but they do have the jog on the large top holes. I know my dad picked them up somewhere in the early 70s. I do have a couple interested parties, but have no idea what would be a fair offer, any help would be appreciated.
I also have another 20 that are 7 1/4” inches long, most have the jog in the top holes, some don’t. One has stamping, barely legible, looks like S Newhouse
Oneida Community has the jog in top hole.
I have 2 that are 6 3/4” one has the jog and is stamped pretty clearly
S Newhouse
Oneida community N.Y.
Made in U.S.A.
The other no jog, smaller stamping, but looks to be similar wording, again, any help with information on these springs and possible value would be appreciated. 2 of the 7 1/4” springs no hole jog look a little different, hand forged maybe? First 2 photos are 6 3/4 inch springs, next 3 are 9” spring. Wish I could have figured out how to load more photos without going over the limit.
Thanks for any help

I’ll say it before someone else does… pictures are worth a thousand words. Model and condition mean everything. They could be just users or very collectible.

Iam pretty sure you have atc 41/2 springs
With the smaller ones being 3and 4s

The wolf trap springs are worth atleast 50$ a pair and you might get more if they are very nice condition. I have two sets here like bran new and would value those at 50$ each.

I suspected the larger springs might be for 4 1/2 or 114 as they are a lot harder to compress than most # 4 springs I’m familiar with. Do you have any idea what the 3s and 4s may be worth? All of the large springs are in great condition other than surface rust, as are most of the, what must be 4s . A couple of the 4s and the 3s seem a little weaker than new condition, they have been stored indoors for most of the last 60 years. I appreciate the input on value, I don’t mind giving somebody a decent deal but the offers I’ve had so far as yet, have not been close to the value I suspected.
Thanks again, any additional input appreciated.

None of the 4 1/2 or 114s which ever they are, are stamped, at least not as far as I can tell, unless the stamping would be in a different location, than I found on the 3s or 4s.

I was not sure what the atc meant, got it now, animal trap company. I don’t think any of the wolf trap springs have ever been on a trap, not sure how to rate their condition, they are extremely strong, and other than some surface rust are in like near new condition. Did you have any thoughts on round about values on the 4s and threes, most of the 4s must also be atc, and I believe were unused replacement springs.
Thanks again for chiming in with the atc, made me go back and read some more about the Oneida Newhouse history.
