Who likes/ loves them? I grow and propagate several different varieties in my hothouse every year. I buy the hard and expensive ones and then propagate them. Have several beds dedicated to them.
Also I grow several varieties of roses. I love to garden. Just a different way of doing it.
Plus it keeps me going and calm. My form of meditation.

Last Fall, my nursery business partner propagated a lot of coleus plants from cuttings from the Wilmington College greenhouse. She kept them under grow lights. She just propagated a few hundred cuttings from those plants, that got pretty leggy. I wish we had more varieties. I've liked coleus since I was a child. It was one of the first plants I ever grew and propagated. There are some very beautiful color variants.

I really like Coleus. I plant a whiskey barrel planter with coleus and a few other things every year and it grows so reliably.

[Linked Image]

One year when I was short on time, I bought a bunch of different colored varieties like you see in the photo and stuffed them all (in their 4" pots) into the whiskey barrel in the arrangement I planned and never got around to planting them directly into the barrel. Never fertilized them and rarely watered them. They grew and filled in like champions and you couldn't even tell they were in little pots.

Great performers!

Patrice, thank you for posting. I'll get more pics of my current coleus.

I have them staggered to when they bloom and grow to enjoy all summer and early fall. Just before a frost. I start cuttings in my hothouse. And then I have some I bring inside to get an early start in the spring.

A good shade plant, like hostas. My Grandmother had a rock garden behind their house in Osceola Mills…..it was full of hostas, coleus , ans sedums. I’m a fan.

Do you have the roses that smell good, or the new ones that have almost no odor? I love the old roses that smell like roses. I haven't smelled a good rose in years. All I've seen locally are pretty, but odorless roses.

Keith the top one has a citrus smell. It smells awesome. I pick my roses for their fragrance and size/ petal count.
Most of mine are the grandiflora and floribunda with a few knockouts.
My colues plants are all types.
Plus I also like Mums, all colors
I'll have more to post tomorrow. I'm in for the night.

Sarge, sorry it took me an extra day. When I downloaded the photos, I had some duplicate photo names/numbers already on my phone I had to sort out!

Still, worth the wait!

Keith, I planted David Austin shrub roses for my wife, these are the multi petal English roses with great rose smell...These have a big bloom period in June and later flushes of blossoms throughout the summer...only problem I have with them is blackspot, nothing I've tried seems to work...but they keep chugging along...
