I go extra light on the carbs if I'm going to be working in the heat but my body sucks when it runs out of fuel so I never let it.

When I work in the heat I don't feel like eating. Often it's 3 or 4 in the afternoon before I realize I have not eaten anything yet that day. Often I only drink a few cups of coffee And eat one meal a day with some light snacking maybe almond. Wife and kids eat 3 times a day and I just can't. Probably something to do with my rotating schedule.

I don’t eat til dinner time every day. I make myself breakfast on the weekends, but I wake up at 4 for work, I’m not getting up at 330 so I can eat. I throw a couple cheese sticks in my backpack in case I get hungry during the day, they’re easy to stuff in my face quick and they have like 8g of protein each, but most days they just end up back in the fridge and come with again the next day

One meal a day except Friday. My parents make me a big lunch every Friday. When you 41 and mommas cooking you say yes ma'am...

Week one isn't bad cause your head is right. Week 2 sucks.
Week 3 you don't even notice except if you do eat something during the day it bogs you down..

I do this almost every summer. Have trouble sticking with it through winter and working outside in the snow and cold...

I end up working so much in the summer forget about eating then to tired to eat and hit the rack. In the winter months I tend to eat to much so just go back and forth and it evens out.

I always had you pegged as more of a Kool guy. The guys at work used to laugh at me and could tell when I was stressed because I was chain smoking Camels with a big, fat lip of Copenhagen in.

I have nothing clever to put here.

My god WD, you were in the Army. Don’t you run on caffeine, nicotine and hate? I mean in a few short days, y’all will be 250 years old.

Mind over matter and all.

I did a 24 hour fast every week when working. I'd eat dinner, then go all day until dinner the next night. I did it the same day every week. I did drink water and coffee, just nothing with calories. Also, midway through the day, I'd eat a teaspoon of salt. The salt helps a lot.

I did it for physical and mental health reasons. It's good for you to go hungry every once in a while.....we didn't evolve as creatures that had 3 squares a day. It was perfectly normal for us to go a day or two without a meal. As far as the mental side-a little bit of suffering and self-denial every once in a while is good for the soul.
