That's what the local news stations are saying here. His wife was detained in Onamia, MN. In her car they found passports, weapons, ammo, and money. I think she was released. Was he making a run for the border? That was the latest news report. Not sure why they didn't hold her for more questioning when this sounds so suspicious.

Wife: That's the 4th time you've gone back for dessert, doesn't that embarrass you? Me: No, I keep telling them it's for you.

What doesn't make sense is if the shooter is republican why did he target Senator Hoffman first? He had a hit list of over 70 people. Hoffman is more of a moderate democrat. He just voted against his party to not give money to illegals for healthcare. Why would the shooter target Hoffman first? And Hortman was the only democrat to vote against her party in the House. Why would he target her second? Theres far more dangerous democrats in Minnesota than those two.

Are you trying to apply logic and reasoning ability to this individual? His actions clear show he is not logical. Best you can hope for is they catch him and they study him.

But seems to be a patternof finding these nuts dead by their own hand.

The MSM named a few democrats on the list, which likely means the rest of the list was all Republicans. The MSM loves to spread their political agenda with partial truths that cause liberal morons to jump to the conclusions they want.

Now it looks like he was caught live on camera by LEO in full special ops gear right down to the multicam fatigues. The guy is clean and looks like he grabbed a shower and changed his clothes rather than being on the run for the last day and half.
The missus apparently is already in custody caught with cash and multiple passports.

Anyone else scratching their heads?

What are “they” trying to distract us from? How will “they” use this to take away more of our rights.

False flags always fly.

I highly doubt they have any reason to hold his spouse. It’s not illegal to have Cash, a gun, or a passport in this country. Detained long enough to question is far more likely. She is not liable for his actions and can’t even be forced to testify against him.

True, but I'm sure they hold her long enough to dig into whether she was aiding and abetting his escape.

They briefly held her for questioning at a local gas station. She is licensed to carry concealed is my understanding. Passports for her 5 kids in her purse is not a criminal offense.
Probably checked the trunk and let her continue her travel.

No, it's not, and I hope she wasn't involved or trying to help him. It would be a shame for him to drag her down with him. It's already bad enough what he's done and the effect it will have on his family.

But one wonders why she's travelling with passports. Most folks that have passports usually keep them at home in a secure spot unless actually traveling. Is she planning on leaving the country? Again, not illegal but a legitimate question nonetheless.

DataRepublican on X posited a theory that may well be the case after reviewing his work history and associations.

Narcissistic grifter with a hero complex. Wanting to be somebody and always failing at it. Wanting to be among the movers and shakers and failing at it.

The nutjob was a really bad shot, and it appears to be his undoing.

Visited two other homes and found nobody home. First victims, she took eight rounds and lived and apparently recovering well enough to text friends. He took nine and survived and appears to be recovering. They called 911, and that got police en route to the second victims where, unfortunately, his aim was better but got intercepted by police putting him off his plan to kill others.

Some reports suggest he shot through the door when they didn’t open it . He was only shooting a 9mm where capacity is supposed to make up for brute force !

I agree with Cory and haven't seen anything about her being in custody. She was stopped on Saturday but I never read anything about her being arrested.

I have nothing clever to put here.

The one picture I saw had 6,8,10 bullet holes in the entrance door, just about chest level. The glass storm door was not damaged so I assume he had that opened and then fired.
