People still supporting cheap imports so in the past I’ve had people list their most worthless imported purchases.

I’ll start

Zip ties that break when you tighten them.
A big roll of electric tape that won’t stick to anything.
Filament tape that won’t stick and hold any pressure easy to rip.
Wife brought home a poop scooper the adjustable handle that lasted 5 minutes but never locked in place before it went flying.
Clothing that must be made to fit a stick man chinaman that mediums there is a XXS here.
Any junk on Facebook it’s all junk that won’t work or last. The TideWe blinds were the only thing worth the price the rest just junk!
Plumbing/sink fixtures that don’t work like they should shower parts that leak brand names. The parts replaced are 2X the weight of new all plastic.
Wife bought food storage containers with push button lid seal, you can seal the lids then pull them off easily not cheap either.
Many items listed were once a quality made product when it was produced in the US.

My point here is the cheap junk many are fighting for is it really worth even buying. We are so deep into China junk we in many cases are left with no options to buy American now by our past buying habits we created this we are deep will we go deeper?

This is the same country that’s out to destroy us any way they can what are we doing folks?

I buy USA whenever I can, but feel like most of it is less than perfect, I feel like most USA Co. don't care as well, the one's that do care are generally smaller locally owned businesses. Import junk is just that!!

Do you know what the AVERAGE wage is in America?? It's $30.67/hr. In Vietnam it's $4.35/hr. In China, it's considerably higher at $19 something, BUT in China their lowest minimum wage is also $1.47/hr... yes, less than a buck and a half an hour.

How do you expect American companies to produce zip ties or tupperware for anywhere close to the price of foreign made stuff? We've voted ourselves out of the ability to manufacture throw away items for a reasonable cost. The only things American companies can AFFORD to manufacture are things that come with high price tags.... vehicles, medicines, computer components, rocket ships, defense equipment, etc. They can't pay people $15-20/hr to manufacture the stuff to stock the shelves of the Dollar Tree.

Tupperware, a company that manufactures SOME but not all of their food storage containers at a U.S. plant can still be purchased if you want American made. They're only $100 for a 4 piece set. Just make sure the ones you're buying WERE made in America....

Have to agree with Ang on this one, our country is our own worst enemy when it comes to spending on things that should not break or wear out, instead most of us buy cheap, using the I cannot afford excuse to buy our own made stuff

Drives me crazy !! If only half of this country would buy our own made stuff, if you could find it any more, things would change,

Wage for living has taken away most thoughts of having our own made things built and sold here, part of this is our egos for high wages with out any education, the other part is companies can't pay for wages as it is !!

What is the answer, not likely to come up with one, unless we all start all over again, that could happen at anytime it seems lately !!

A lot of Chinese crap is just that....but who's fault is it?
It's the American corporations that sold out Americans for going offshore to "save" money and DIDN"T demand the chinese manufacturers uphold standards....They can, they have a space program for crying out loud, but the Chinese are not stupid, so they cheapen the product to save THEM money, and send the crap to America cause no one cares to uphold standards, so long as it's cheap. So LaCross and Xtratuff boots, they took a very good product and sent the factories to Asia, American workers lost their jobs, the boots came back worthless, but guess what?, the "savings" to the American corp didn't get passed on to the consumer.
No reason zip ties can't be made that don't break when you use them, but again, they get cheapened, , but is it actually cheaper when you have to use 2 or 3?
Similar examples abound, but as long as a product is cheaper than the better one next to it, that's the one people buy...Thus everything ends up trying to out cheap the other cheap stuff.... rant over...carry on...
