For those that attend church on Sundays why are the churches not teaching /speaking on any of the sexual sins that are so prominent in our society. We have been to 4 different churches in the last 20 years and none of them speak on this.
I am a regular attender so I will comment.
If your church never teaches on sexual sins, find another church.
If your church only teaches on sexual sins, find another church.
If your church never teaches on any sin, find another church.
Look for a church that teaches the whole counsel of God, not just the parts that the congregation likes or dislikes.
An excerpt from Paul's instruction to the young preacher who would take up the mantel following Paul's martyrdom (most historical theologians believe the next day).
2 Timothy 4: I charge thee therefore before God, and the Lord Jesus Christ, who shall judge the quick and the dead at his appearing and his kingdom;
2 Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all long suffering and doctrine.
3 For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears;
4 And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.It can be helpful to keep things in perspective of Jesus' life and teachings:
1) When Jesus came to earth, most people rejected him because they preferred darkness rather than light.
2) When Jesus taught strong doctrine rather than just working miracles, many disciples stopped following him.
