Hi Dave!
Don't know where it's headed, but like you I'll continue to trap some.

PT sales are happening every day as the auction is going on. And will happen for the next week or so. At some point, they will close the books on this sale and issue checks to those that sold fur.

PT sales will continue over the summer as people need goods. Those PT sales will be settled along with the March 2026 auction. You ask why those PT sales aren’t settled sooner - because it isn’t practical to issue 376 checks in the of $2.00 every time they sell 500 rats.

Note to all the PT haters - no need to tell us why PT sales are terrible and shouldn’t be allowed. We’ve heard your rhetoric many times before and quite frankly we don’t give a

Right on Wissmiss. I had some beaver that sold last summer. Something wonky with my lots at this last winter auction and Mary Schellenberg figured it out for me.

Some sold PT already. My account is updated already, but some numbers are a little wonky compared to what I wrote down while watching. I’m sure there’ll be some tweaking after it’s all over.

I like PT sales and them moving fur. But if people want to complain on a public forum more power to them. Who is we? LOL

My three blue coastal cats went for $310. Pretty dang happy with that since at the OTC sale the offers for the three were all less than $100 each. Had another cat go for $360. Even got $100 for a small titty-belly. WIth all six cats I averaged $265 before commissions/etc taken out.

I watched some auction and saw some fisher lots sell yet my account shows them as unsold while others are sold. I'm hoping it is just slow updating. LOL

So, do two guys in a bidding war really make a skunk market? I seem to remember something similar happened with muskrats, next year everyone was geared up for rats and they dropped back down.

Right now I’m having amnesia and déjà vu at the same time. I think I’ve forgotten this before.

Never know how long it'll last. Just look at the last coyote trend. Then beaver. Now skunk. You gotta be in it to win it! wink

Muskrats went on about a five year run.

It was a heck of a ride while it lasted

A dollar is a dollar. LOL

My select coyotes didn't sell. At this point that $1 is better. I mean, heck, just give me the $36 like the few other yotes I dumped and I'd be happy at this point.

Haha, and a lot can change by next March! I’d laugh seeing 6000 skunks offered and 20% move. Strike while the irons hot!
