I was sitting outback last night having a cigar an bourbon when movement at my feet caught my attention, looked down a coon pup passed me on the right, one walked under the chair i was sitting in , while the third one passed me on the left side of the chair.

Mom brought up the rear an stopped for a good sniff on my boots, needless to say i didnt move much till they passed by into the pines. Needed a refill after that,came back out an sonofagun there was a big black skunk with a lighting bolt of white across the front legs an chest. (gonna be a nice one come season).

Made for an entertaining night..

them pups get rambunctious about a yr old or so.

We can have one of any unprotected varmint but just one so skunks, coons, possums, badger and coyotes are allowed as pets. Had a coon but that went south when she got older just a poor attitude on the old girl.

I see roadkilled coons that have been nursing. I know there's a litter dying in a den somewhere.

Spring is a cruel time we had a black bird a grackle chick on the ground the mom was feeding it but it was a matter of time until the cats found it well today it’s kitten food.

we have raised fox squirrel that were nested in a tree I removed, injured chipmunk taken away from the cat, and a couple big birds that had been hit by cars that some organizations get sensitive about. All got healed up let go. Some hung around a few years others took off never to be seen again.

If I see a beaver out in the middle of the day I press the app button….

I fish by the tables,,,,, for sturgeon and salmon.
I would look,,,, and tell whoever was on the boat,,, get ready you’re going to get a bite.

I whack and stack all coons and grinners. Overpopulated and devastating to many critters they eat. Got a neighbor that feeds wildlife illegally so I don't need much bait. To each their own!

Many laws are broken that are understood clearly.

Just don't name any of those critters "Peanut". the last Peanut didn't fare so well.
