A man I knew as a humble painter in his 60s at a church I went to for about ten years ended up being a fairly lean, mean 20 year old fighting machine. I knew he was airborne but didn't know he had been a Ranger until after he passed and one of his daughter brought me his Vietnam "scrap book" to look at ( i wanted to know the details about his Bronze Star w/Valor) to look through and scan some photos.

Gone too soon. He fought for his country when the politicians asked him to do so, loved his daughters and grand kids, and knew Jesus as his Lord and Savior. What else can you ask of a man...
