I've never met you, Jack, but judging from your posts on here, it was well deserved. Congrats!
Proudly banned from the NTA.
Bother me tomorrow. Today I'll buy no sorrows.

An honor well-deserved Jack. I was at the convention, but didn't want to trouble you. I'm always on the lookout for those rubber boas after our discussions about them.

At Jack's induction there was a story from a good friend of Jack's (and many of the members on here) that I thought I would share that pretty much sums up the outstanding guy Jack is. Enjoy
It was December and quite cold, at least minus fifty because no one was flying and I was at my trapline, about 90 minutes by Super Cub. I had an abscessed tooth and needed a dentist badly. I was running a fever and had used all my antibiotics. I had contacted Jack on the High Frequency radio a couple days earlier, but he said it was too cold to fly. Finally, I decided to use my 22 pistol and try to shoot my tooth out. I had resolved to do it the next morning. Somehow, during the night, better judgment prevailed as I realized I was dealing with an upper molar that was right below my eye. I called Jack once again and told him the situation. He said it was still minus 47 in MCG, but he’d come get me anyway, which he did.
When no one else would fly, Jack put himself and his airplane at great risk to get me out of there and back where I could get to the dentist. In retrospect, I should have just had Jack pull the tooth. He certainly has enough experience, but he may have also wanted to put a radio collar on me.
There is nothing more valuable in this world than a man you can rely on. That's Jack!!
