Silencer Central is running a free tax stamp promotion. Good time to get one. https://www.silencercentral.com/

They’re also fighting to keep suppressors on the NFA Was that confirmed? When the talk started about "someone" lobbying they were my first guess.

The reason it took longer is because they set up a trust. If you don't set up a trust it takes days.
It's prudent to set up a trust.

When I ordered mine, they told me 9 months. Well, that 9 months turned into 18 months. That was during covid, so I was told it had something to do with the ATF not having enough people processing the paperwork. Whatever the case, the process was simple, and I've been happy with suppressor I got.
I'm not so sure they are fighting to keep suppressors on the NFA. When that rumor started, I got an email from them nixing that. Said, they were in support of the HPA. I heard rumor they were supporting a modified version of the HPA which only eliminated the tax stamp but kept suppressors in the NFA thus continuing the need for their services.

If you're replying to me, it had nothing to do with the ATF taking longer on a trust. I'm not talking about the time spent waiting on the ATF. The time waiting on SCs process was over 40 days. Waiting for them to mail a fingerprint kit (I had it back in the mail within hours of it arriving), waiting for them to process the fingerprint kit. Waiting for them to set up the trust. Wainting for an appointment to go over the trust with them (I took first available). Then after the ATF approved, waiting for them to mail it to their FFL in my state. Waiting for the FFL to open the box and put it back in the mail to me. Their process added up to over 40 days.

That could certainly be the case Boone. I hadn't heard that, but it wouldn't surprise me. A lot of sneaky practices in businesses these days.
