k snow OP trapper K Joined: Oct 2009 east central WI	Here's the start of another shooting bag. Blue and white pound beads on braintan deer. The hide was gifted to me by a fellow buckskinner. This bag will be a silent auction item at our club's summer rendezvous.

Blueticker1 trapper B Joined: Aug 2013 Utah	That's going to look good, I've not ever tried the beaded stuff, but I may this fall. I try to stay in the 1750's - 1760's, but my oldest boy is starting to show interest and is liking the 1820's so I will get to try beading then.

Commercial deerskin is very tough to bead compared to braintan. I did a lot of powwow style beadwork on commercial hides, never again since learning to braintan.
