I figured I would bump it back to the top for you, hopefully you are getting some PMs.

I haven't fished there in about 30 years and even at that it was limited to free time when I was at camp. I went to camp on Trout Lake and fished often but we were limited to row boats and had to stay near the camp. We did pretty well catching mostly sunfish and rock bass. I remember the water being pretty clear, if walleye is your game then I would guess low light periods of the day would be better.

Good luck!

The lakes in that area on up to Leech and surrounding all seem to have a weed line ending in about 14’ of water.
Mornings and evenings troll those outside edges with a rapala or crank bait type lure that runs 10-12’ deep. Nice and easy. You will get a nice mixed bag.

If the lake has a heavy bunch of leafy weeds out to the edge, versus sporadic, there will be walleyes and crappies under cover of weeds down deep on the edge. Patience with a slip bobber and crappie minow down there will catch both.
