The incident is about 90 miles north of me. Horrible situation. No idea if it is one or more shooter. But the police response is massive!!

The Coeur d’Alene area was/is? the center of the Aryan Nation. Don’t hear much about them these days but they were very active in the 80s and 90s. Wouldn’t surprise me if the Aryans are involved.

The job of fighting forest fires is dangerous enough without having to face gunfire. The scenario makes me wonder if an individual or two were specifically targeted.

Can't imagine why anyone would want to kill a fire fighter. It's a dangerous enough job as it is, much less having someone shooting at you.

Most people see firefighters as heros and rightly so.

The Arayan Brotherhood definitely has racists in it, but there's a lot on non racists in it too. It's more of a gang, mostly prison based, that's interested in making profits. Some chapters work with black and Hispanic gangs.
