Gave mine to my daughter, now I need to replace. Is the Ken Onion twice as good as the regular model.

Is there something better? I have stones and steels already.

I have the original version, not the Ken Onion model. Use mine a lot and would never go back to any other method for a quick sharpening system that is pretty fool proof.

I very much like my Ken onion , with blade grinder attachment is all I use I almost ever use the original with the small belts , just te blade grinder

I use a diamond steel between sharpenings but once you know you have all your kitchen knives set at 20 or 25 degrees you stay set to that and do touch ups at about 400-600 grit and very seldom have to go below 320 grit ever again,

I don't have the 2.0 , but watch some review videos and you will likely find a discount code

that is what I did when I was on bed rest for a week in 2020 for a blood clot , lots of time to research

it has been good and I like Red Label abrasives for replacement belts

America only has one issue, we have a Responsibility crisis and everything else stems from it.

My father was always very fussy about keeping knives sharp and it rubbed off onto me. I learned at a young age how to put a razor sharp edge on a blade with a carborundum stone (course & fine sided) followed by an Arkansas stone and then a steel. Today, these things all just sit in a drawer since I got a Ken Onion sharpener.

I have the original one. It's all I ever use now.

Wife: That's the 4th time you've gone back for dessert, doesn't that embarrass you? Me: No, I keep telling them it's for you.
