I have wondered if they fight the line that bad or is it just done for T.V. ?

I imagine it's really played up for the camera. I would assume they be like most any other caught critter and be sitting there when you pull up but a reaction when you tug on the line.

From what I read, the gators come up nice and easy, apparently when you pull the head out of the water the circus starts,,,,so, that's what they do cause it looks good on camera...
