Looks fun! We pulled a toboggan behind the Scout on dirt roads during winter; you did not want to fall off.

Sit on that board feet forward. If they are up to 35mph should be able to put their feet down. Board will pop out from underneath. They will be barefoot sking. Pretty much how learned not having a boom on a boat. 35mph was the minimum speed for me 40 or faster was easier to stand up. Actually best to let the boat or in their csse machine stand you up. Mininmum Speed can also depend on foot size and weight.
Lots trash in the water I would wear my dive boots or tennis shoes.
