News says 19,000 of these to hit Pittsburgh
this weekend.
What is their real thing / cause / or agenda?
I tried a searching and knotted up my googler.

Pretending to be what they are not must not like being humans. They might be good tail customers but what they do with them is weird!

They're true freaks. Sexual deviants that seek attention from children. (That's a famous picture of a furry being pet by a kid that circulates around the interwebs). Grind them up.

Also, they do not equal pedos and the majority of pedos I've encountered (including those involved in big international pedorings), were/are very well-integrated into society and look like very regular, proper, conservative, self-righteous people. Yep, large majority of them are weirdos, but harmless but there's outliers like every community. Actually lot of really far right types in the furry community, like neo Nazis and stuff .
But anyhow yeah they have conventions and stuff like cosplayers and anime nerds do

And yes they are some of the best people to sell fur and other animal but to especially skulls

Are the furries the adult versions of the kids that wanted/needed litter boxes put in classrooms?

Furbies were a toy that came out in the late nineties, that "learned" to speak by recording conversation they heard and playing it back mixed with gibberish, when set off by motion. My girlfriend at the time had a much younger sister, around 15, who had a furbie. I tried to talk my girlfriend into teaching the furbie to say scary stuff like "I'm going to eat you.", "I'm going to steal your soul." and "I'm going to murder you in your sleep.". I thought it would be funny and still think so.

Furries are the people who dress up like and act like animals.

Some, I believe, are designed to be tucked somewhere else. Same general area though.

Hilariously, here's the largest furry convention is in Texas. Texas may have more furries than anywhere else.

Another direct example of what happens when a society does not have the power to lock up insane people. They then are normalized for the children to view as “normal”…. Another step towards societal collapse.

Got no issues with anyone exercising their right of freedom. Some furbies, migets, and a cooler sounds like a great weekend.

The furries in the video, who weren't in costume, were all unattractive people and not physically fit. Because of their appearance, they probably find it hard to socialize, like normal people. Being in costume makes it easier to interact socially, because people aren't put off by their appearance and much more importantly they aren't self conscious about their appearance.

As long as innocent people, such as children, aren't harmed by their activities, which in general seems to be the case, there's nothing wrong with what they are doing. It's just weird to most of us.

It would be better for them if they just came to the realization, that when interacting with others, there are much more important traits than physical appearance, such as intellect and character.

I've never dressed up as an animal. I did used to be active in the Society for Creative Anachronism and got paid to teach and call dances in the 1820's groups like K Snow attends. 1820s dances are basically English Country dances and similar to square dances.

I was like an SCA god. I was smarter than almost all the people in it, who pride themselves on being smart. I am very knowledgeable. I am stronger than almost everyone. I am funny, not bad looking, not at all shy, confident and obviously not overly modest. I ran and taught dance. Women love dancing and when you are in charge of a ball with a four or five hundred people attending, women get the hots for you. I did very well with the nerdy ladies, some of whom were quite beautiful and all of which were fun. I like smart women. Stupid women, even if beautiful, are no good for a long term relationship. Beauty fades. Intellect and character last.

I did very well with the nerdy ladies, some of whom were quite beautiful and all of which were fun. I like smart women. Stupid women, even if beautiful, are no good for a long term relationship. Beauty fades. Intellect and character last.

Keith

I guess if people can pretend they are animals we'll let u slide on this one too Keith but like the furry thing no one is believing it

Thanks. That's mighty white of you as Savelll would say.

Furries are the people who dress up like and act like animals.

I bet it was easy to skin though. Did it have snaps or a zipper?

They call the Pittsburgh event Anthrocon. Today was the furry parade on Penn Avenue. Must be awful hot in those furry suits. Gonna hit 90 today.

Not my cup of tea, but they’re not bothering me or anyone else I know.

It's weird. But the average American would think trapping and skinning coyotes is weird. And that's just one example. God help them if they saw my ammo cabinets.

Again, weird activity but so long as it's not hurting anyone--carry on.

As society losses it way morally and in its values more and more it affects everyone. The most direct way in this country right now is in my money being spend on welfare for those who aren't willing to take care of themselves. Apathy is one of the final steps in the fall of a civilization.

In this country we have been conditioned to forget the role morals and values play in the strength of a society

For all you live and let live types let me ask this.

What's the best way to deal with termites?

Just let them do their thing over there?

Fence them off to do their thing over there?

Wait until the fence, foundation and joists are eaten?

Break out the pesticide and eradicate them once and for all?

The morals and values of a society do effect and impact the individuals that live in it. Supposed strongly through scientific evidence and common sense. Its choosing ignorance to believe otherwise

Yeah, they're weird, lots of weird out there, always has been from the beginning of time....but, you don't cater to them, no litter boxes in schools, in fact have school uniforms, or a strict dress code, and hang up on the whining moms....

I have never had a problem with anyone exercising Liberty, Freedom, as long as it don't hurt no one. Back in the day I thought it weird that the band geeks, AV kids played D&D. But years later I played it and it was pretty cool, not my thing but still, I get it.

I've said it before, if someone wants to dress up like a critter, go to the local pond, read poetry while eating gluten free skone's whilst sipping on organic green tea and heck, throw in some Celine Deion music, I say rock on!! Freedom is a beautiful thing and some people don't want others using it if it doesn't align with their view of Freedom expression. That's wrong imo.

I wholeheartedly agree.

But when the weirdos say that I have to accept them as they are or I can't voice my disgust or suggest that they get help then a line has been crossed effecting my right to be weird in expecting proper and acceptable behavior in public.

When they force their way into my life and family and speak to my children against my wishes then more than a line has been crossed. I consider it an act of war and will respond accordingly.

And as General Jackson taught us once war is declared you unsheath the sword and throw away the sheath.

We aren't going around prying into the private predilections of others, we didnt start this, but by God we will finish it.

I haven't seen many furries runnin' around in these parts. The few that I have seen in the wild are teenaged kids that likely don't know the sound a belt makes when it's jerked from the belt loops.

My wife has a friend that's granddaughter likes to dress up as a furry, apparently she has autism and she likes the furry feel....but the other kids all make fun of her so I don't think too many "normal" kids are buying into it....

Do they wear real fur? Or is it synthetic material that has helped ruin the fur industry?

Hey Savell, I think you and Dave need to get you a couple of those costumes, a couple of fifths of Wild Turkey, and hire Big Bud to be your videographer and take us all on a ridealong of your east Texas trapline this winter.

Proudly banned from the NTA.

Bother me tomorrow. Today I'll buy no sorrows.

You seem to have an intimate understanding of the unusual behavior and political ideologies of the majority of the furry community. How did you gain this knowledge?

There is enough 'furry' stuff on the internet that I could post that would give Boss Paul a coronary ,and get me and my future generations banned for ever.

Bunch of sickos dressed up like critters, doing what wild critters do in certain seasons, with no regard to individual species.

The best description wound be cos play zoophilia.

Sick sick sick.
