The canals left in Ohio, especially the ones where water is pulled out in large amounts for irrigation, are typically excellent for channel cats. They get little fishing pressure. The catfish in them have much better relative weight to length ratios than the catfish in the rivers. There's got to be much more food in the channels and canals. Keith
