I got a trapping friend that said he won't set a trap if he can't hit it with his door. I though he was kidding but seeing this i think he's serious! LOL!

Me too, if I can't drive right to a location I probably ain't setting it.

Coyotes and other factors have reduced the red population somewhat in my area. But, for whatever reasons, the coyote population never really expanded beyond relatively low numbers.

They've been here for at least twenty years but I don't even catch one a season on my fox line. And didn't catch many when I used to make dedicated sets for them back when I thought they were going to wipe out my reds.

Lugnut. 40 yrs ago we had a decent red fox population. Then the yotes moved in . Now zero red fox. Count your blessings.

Them's some tired critters.

There are several hunting forums that have trapping threads that actually show dispatches and talk openly about methods.
Dead animals too are shown so do some looking around.

Small holes in the head don't hurt value to fur buyers.

I was going to say, aren't all animals dispatched with a .22? I know our pres over here of the trapping association even does black bears with .22 shorts or quiets I think was all he used.
