I acquired a large amount of Duckbill model 68 earth anchors and had to thoughts to head up into the woods and drive them in while the ground isn't frozen. My question is what size chain and how would the wolfers on here attach them and what size chain would you run? I have a lot of USA made number 3 chain laying around and since it will mostly be buried was thinking it might be ok. My plan for this coming year is go up were I know the wolves move through and dig some post holes and toss an old log down then dump some beaver juice i have had cooking all summer then drive those anchors in and wait till season. Saw the idea from Paul Antczak on the lure and set up.

Thanks for the info. Just trying to get everything in order and be ready when the season opens.

#3 is fine. I use #5, but that’s for weight to keep the drag on the ground, not because I’m worried a wolf will break lighter chain
