Anyone ? Just saw this on FB marketplace, the heck are river shrimp? Are they like the ones you eat or more like the grass shrimp they like using for bait ?

"River shrimp" is a general term for shrimp species that inhabit freshwater rivers and streams. Several different genera and species can be referred to by this name, including the Ohio River shrimp (Macrobrachium ohione) and various Gammarus species. These shrimp play a role in the freshwater ecosystem as food for other animals and are sometimes used as bait.

4" is pretty big, didn't know these existed....If those shrimp eat "meat" you should be able to trap them in pots, like eel pots....We have grass shrimp here, but they're small, 2" is about it, but they will enter a baited pot...
