I can’t imagine a river rising 30’ in 45 minutes. In flat country that has to be horrific.

While we all appreciate your thoughts and prayers, maybe I can point out the obvious. If the hill country was flat, rain would spread out instead of rushing to the bottom of big drainages like the Guadalupe, the San Marcos, or the Pedernales rivers. The elevation change and rocky composition of those drainages is what causes this drastic flash flooding.

Heck it was flat they prolly wouldn't call it the hill country...
