112 confirmed bodies have been recovered and they have finally been able to establish a minimum possible number of souls still missing. 161 is the number but, since all of the records from the RV sites, cabins and primitive campsites were lost in the flood most of this is from the operators of those facilities memory.

I wish there was a way to help take the pain away from those parents with missing and deceased children. I don't pray as often as I should but I've been sending them up every night since this happened. As a dad of a 2 and 4 year daughter, I can't imagine experiencing this as a parent. It makes my heart ache and frustrates me that there is nothing I can do to help or fix it.

Ol dad

As of right now, 170+ missing…..terrible tragedy.

Bad situation

Popular area on a vacation weekend

Some will never be found
Lots of places to trap bodies or bury them under mountains of debris
Pretty sure some have been found close to 20mi down river from where they were

I can't imagine the grief of those who lost children

Praying for everyone involved from those who lost loved ones to those working to retrieve the victims frown

You are praying and that is powerful. Much more powerful than most us can comprehend. When we become weak, bend our knees and acknowledge our Creator and rely on Him, there is strength that can move mountains. We all can continue to pray for these families and for those on scene.

My nephew is ninety minutes from there, he says the water will drain into the lake he lives by.
He went there to volunteer for cleanup
