So, my wife bought a 6x6 redneck blind with a 5ft towerthat we put up on our family mountain ground, and they send 6 30"x3/4" rear stakes for anchoring the outside of the tower, which I was able to drive in easy enough through the rocks with a 10lb sledge. My issue is for the very center anchor, they send a large screw stake that then has a cable up to the bottom center of the tower, which you then tighten with a turn buckle. There is no hope of getting the screw stake in in that type of ground, so I thought of building an oversize earth anchor like on my traps and putting some heavier chain on it. Has anyone ever built something like that, or have any ideas? Trying to avoid digging holes and toting sacks of concrete up there if possible

I've done that very same thing anchoring floating duck blinds on big water... it works.

My mining buddy gave me a couple 4' roof bolts & welded and x sleeve with an attachment point. Cross stake bolts through sleeve, hook turnbuckle to it & tighten it down. Mines 8' to the floor & stood up to some gusty winds with just the center anchor point.

Maybe dig a hole and set an eye in concrete for a center anchor.

Depending on what the ground is, you’d amazed what standard earth anchors can hold.

I anchored a bulk diesel tank on a stand with two wolf fangs off each corner.

It hasn’t moved yet!

I have a pile of 30” and 36” roof bolts. The state and Feds wouldn’t let us use them anymore….42” was the new minimum bolt size.
