Runs the track at about 200 mph. A new prototype tops out at 280 and cruises at 250 mph
I'm amazed that they can build tracks so smooth that it don't jump the tracks at that speed.
You can order food and at the next stop the food is delivered right to your seat. Impressive.

Life ain't supposed to be easy.

The Japanese have them beat by a long shot. 0.23

500kph ( 310 mph) , test runs have hit 375 mph
Plus Japanese reliability , vs Chinese tofu dreg construction.

Considering the quality of Chinese construction and engineering , I would not feel safe on one of their trains.

I won’t say Chinese construction is the best because there’s plenty of shock videos floating around the net. I can personally attest to the high speed rail though as I spent months traveling from the hub of Beijing in the spring of 2019. I found the high speed rails to be exceptionally smooth and more enjoyable than the rails in Germany the same year. China has been struggling under a weird quasi-capitalist society for awhile where corruption and getting an advantage over the fellow man causes many manufacturing shortcomings.

Are you are aware that most maglev trains in China are made by the Germans ?

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Transrapid

I have confidence in German build quality. However , who made the maglev tracks and structures ?
There has been many early failures in roads and buildings there. If the Germans built the infrastructure , I would be good with a train on it.

Fascinating link. Although your Wikipedia article doesn’t claim anything you’re saying. The technology is definitely German based and they’ve partnered with Japan, Germany, and other countries to develop the high speed rail systems. Essentially taking technology and remaking it their own but I’m not aware of any statistical fact that states “most” maglev trains in China are made by Germans. There’s many reasons to view China negatively but I don’t see a factual point here. I do appreciate the insight and knowledge about the early German maglev systems as that was new information for me that I didn’t know. Thanks again for the link, I do enjoy learning about China as well as Germany. Unfortunately there’s no way I’ll be able to continue my Chinese knowledge from personal experience as I’m no longer allowed in China. I do visit family in Germany regularly though and do enjoy the ICE train when it’s not riddled with scummy passengers.

China has no environmental bs if you protest a crawdad being endangered I’m sure you turn into part of the foundation. Point being the USA got where it was by doing years ago that’s how china does it now
