Anyone interested in this job, send me a PM and I'll give you the email address. Here's the email I received....

"We are in Olathe KS, 30 min south of Kansas City.

We have estimated a 1000 bats living in the attic. I can only imagine the mess that’s in there. It is a space in a log cabin that has no access points."

John 14:6 Jesus answered, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me."

There a half dozen adc business's in the KC area. Must not like the price.

We traveled across the U.S. for commercial bat work when I was a younger man. Our new crew doesn't want that life style or I would bid the job. It is usually more economical to hire locally vs a company that has to drive 10 - 12 hours and pay for a crews room and board.

Looks like they will have a new access point! Would be costly for me to go that far.

Do bats drop guano inside or always outdoors? I like bats as a general rule.

Knee deep in attics several times over the years.

Seen houses that you could smell at distance.

If in fact there's 1000 bats in that house, deep and distance applies. I've had my share of low triple digit bat numbers, never a thousand or more.

I've had a few that were in the thousands. Even looked at one in Tifton that my recommendation was strike a match. Balloon framed turn of of the century queen anne that had guano in all of the walls from first floor into the second. No way to seal the house with the back wall stripped to the studs.

A church just south of me required a roll off dumpster to empty the attic of guano. It's still bat free to this day.

Another one on Weiss lake that was to the point of structural damage due to weight of the gauno.

Yes Sir, you would definitely want a good respirator if doing interior cleanup. Respirator for exterior seal up would be as needed, depending on size of entries and whether you have to brush/vacuum a large amount of guano in order to seal it. Histoplasmosis and toxoplasmosis are respiratory concerns if inhaling the dusty guano.

The exclusion would probably be easy enough, the clean out would be a nightmare.

Cheaper to burn it down and start over. Unless you wanted to make some black powder.

The one on Weiss lake was a little bit unnerving being in amongst all those bats flying around us but nothing I couldn't deal with. The guy with me was even calmer and not bothered until a palmetto bug run across his boot. He hated bugs with a passion that was quite amusing at the time.
