I don't think you see much branding anymore, do you? Theft must have been a big problem back then. Interesting photo as always from 330.

Still done big time. Montana, Wyoming, ranches of the west. Every year May thru June primarily. Ranchers help ranchers, they all get branded, neutered, and shots in one fast turnover. Many still ear notch as well. The only thing different from this picture is most use rotating branding tables to hold the calves down.

One of my favorite things the brandings. Rounding em up, getting it done, good eats and smiling time afterword.
