The 4 door box traps with tops. Many will say that crabs shy away from closed top traps. I say they're as smart as insects.ive also had a lot of luck with the 3 door pyramid traps and those can stack flat which saves a lot of space. Yup Also, look into Trot lines for crabs. If you set your boat up for it, a trot line works great. Be sure to read the Maryland crabbing regulations as they can be confusing at first. Put in on the Caroline County side of the choptank, boat ramp permit is a lot cheaper than the Talbot County side.

You guys still using bull lips? Thought that went out in the 70's, lol....but old school still works... Well, I haven't used them since the '70s, lol. When eel got $$$, went to.lips. Then necks. Refusing to go.to.clams, but then, don't crab much anymore

You guys still using bull lips? Thought that went out in the 70's, lol....but old school still works... Well, I haven't used them since the '70s, lol. When eel got $$$, went to.lips. Then necks. Refusing to go.to.clams, but then, don't crab much anymore I’ve always used chicken necks. It’s worked for me.
