Found out if you soak it in salt water with a little lemon juice in it for like 15-20min kills off a good bit of that after taste it tends to have smile also carrots seems to counter it really well for some reason

Thinking about trying the buttermilk thing eveyone and there mom down here talks about doing with deer and hogs next to see what happens confused

good to know. That after tast is why I don't like goat or lamb most of the time. That said I have had some I liked not sure what the difference was.

Only lamb I ever had that I actually liked was chops and whatever they put in a gyro

Probably was the age that does that.
They call a sheep that is 364 days old a lamb. A sheep that is 365 days old is mutton.

Lamb steaks grilled with garlic salt is great. Lamb kabobs alternating chunks of lamb with cherry tomatoes, mushroom and onion chunks, cooked over an open fire is great too. Lamb liver pieces, wrapped in bacon, grilled over a wood fire is great also. We ate lots of lamb in the eighties and nineties.
