I'm curious if anybody has any knockout bait recipes for ground squirrels?

I'm using peanuts in an A-18 squirrel trap and they're working ok but since the peanuts aren't visible I'd like to get something with a little stronger odor.

I'm gonna try apple and cherry essence but would prefer to just use someone else's experience rather than spend time testing stuff.

I need something that makes them want to put their head up in the hole.

Might get more response on the ADC forum. Think there is already one going.
