Got 24 hens. 2 Rooster. 3 broody hens sitting on 10 eggs each. Should hatch end of the month.
Any idea on percentage of success to expect?

Chickens usually hatch 85 to 100% least mine do..an incubator is about 50 %.

You should end up with 24 chick's at least, imo and I hatch alot of chick's out

Thanks Cathryn. I hope we get that many. Got 12 young girls, but the other 12 are 4 1/2 years old. Time to get some youngins coming.
Tried to hatch some last month but had a snake issue. Got that took care of, so hopefully good luck this time.

We've had pretty good luck using our bator, 9 outta 12 then 6 outta 10. Hen hatched are pretty similar sometimes more some less. We're thankful for everyone

Should have 1 rooster to every six hens. Your hatch may be light.

I had always heard 1 rooster for 10 hens.

Just going by what the commercial hatchery I worked at did.
