For those of you on blood thinners do you get frequent nose bleeds?

I got myself a seniors' GPS.
Not only does it tell me how to get to my destination,
it tells me why I wanted to go there.

If you’re including the Low-dose Baby Aspirin, no, even with the jumbled cartilage of a 3-time broken nose but I certainly bruise easily!

8 mg warfarin daily. INR monthly. Bruse easily, scratches bleed, but no nose bleeds.

I'm on a daily low dose aspirin and 5 mg of Eliquis twice a day and sometimes see a little blood when I blow my nose hard. Never happened before I started the blood thinners.

I do seem to bleed a bit more when I cut myself but it stops pretty soon.

Eh...wot?

Make sure to get your INR checked if you are on warfarin . Have your dose evaluated if you are on the others . Frequent nose bleeds may be a sign the dose is too high. An occasional bleed isn’t a big deal. Frequent bleeds can be.

Nope, Clopidogrel Bisulfate (Plavix). 75mg/day and low dose Aspirin. Cuts will bleed a bit longer with pressure.

My ex wife was on warfarin, her dose would bounce around like a yoyo, testing every 10 -14 days especially during the summer when fresh greens were readily available. It took a full year to normalize and establish a diet.

My heart doctor says we can't cut back on the dosage. For a couple years I bled in the left nostril, I went to a specialist and she did slow it down by having me rinse and applying petroleum jelly, I finally got tired of it and went to another doctor, she got it stopped by applying an over the counter jell, continue to rinses and applying the petroleum jelly, it stopped but as quick as it stopped the right nostril started bleeding. I guess I will have to go back to the doctor as the bleeds are a first class pain in the butt.

I'm in the same boat as Lug and Aaron........................... no aspirin though. Takes a while to stop bleeding and I bruise easier now too....... could be sugar related too -- I dont know.
