Wife's doin a little experiment with her herbs . Set up a little seed deal on top of the gravel in the tank put in some sage and lavender seeds she wants to grow in some random potting soil. According to Google supposedly it should take 18-28 days to get these to sprout.... Well it's been less than 12 so far and

Just spays them down with tank water from a little spray bottle once a day.... Wonder what's causing the quicker sprouting ?....maybe it's the new shrimp we got lol

Shoot even bigger this morning apparently tolt her she should start measuring and keeping notes at this point

What do you do with lavender?

Think she said she's gonna try and press it down for the oils or incense That and we have some people who would like to buy som from us for religious type stuff , same with the sage

Warmer soil temps will sprout quicker than colder. I’ve seen corn lay in the ground for 3 weeks in April. Late May it’s up and running in 5-7 days.

Hmmm interesting never thought of that , guess it would kinda jump start the cells or something, but these are in the AC for the most part, room stays in the low 70's

Heat mats make seeds germinate faster and roots grow faster.

The best way to get the essential oils can out of lavender and other plants is with a distiller. I know I've posted a decent video on it. I'll try to find it for you.
