Wanting to have some coats and vests put together for family members next year. Who still manufactures coats and vests in America? I wont do business with USAFOX anymore. looking for a top notch manufacturer. Have you used any and what was their product like and and would you use them again. Thanks

There’s a store in Jackson Hole that buys finished furs, turns them into garments, and sells them. Only costs you your soul, but apparently they craft them all in-house. It’s called Sitka Furs of Alaska or something like that.

Been in Sitka Fur a couple times. Just looking. Neat visit and friendly folks. Mention your a trapper and they ask questions. Good questions.

Well a days drive to Jackson might check that out if not the site Northwesternyote posted said there are not more manufactures of full coats. I do know I did a trip to Toronto once and there was a whole district of fur manufactures and retail outlets I hear Montreal has a lot of shops also. I wonder if Leo Luien Z and L still does fur work he made 4 blankets for me years ago. He did a great job on them and great service on fur dressing also, just hard to get ahold of.

I’ll check with a buddy in Alaska. Might be some small time crafters up there. At one point I know he was planning to have an otter blanket made

Makes one wonder if fur will ever return here to the states or just be an foreign market China and Russia.
