King of the sewer is still living in a sewer. Not much to choose from on network tv that time of night.

His ratings are top for his time slot. Where you get your information? Trump? "This is purely a financial decision against a challenging backdrop in late night," George Cheeks, the president of CBS and co-chief executive of Paramount, CBS's parent company, wrote in a press release. "It is not related in any way to the show's performance, content or other matters happening at Paramount." I guess the top rated show just wasn't making enough money if the CBS bigwig is to be believed. It probably has nothing at all to do with the fact that many folks are fed up with the non-stop, libtard, woke, Trump-bashing bull crap the legacy media has been pushing for eight-plus years.
Eh...wot?

Top rating in 20% of the market is not that great now the whole MSM is being replaced by other media outlets.

I find it hard to believe some here are still clueless how buffaloed they have become. It is amazing how those that lean left (or have fallen over) can not see the reality of today’s world…. Simply stunning, my dear mother being one of them. She gobbles up every word from the main stream media and believes it as if it were chiseled in stone by Moses himself…. To see and read the praises lumped upon this worthless con-man by CBS is all one needs to see to reveal their own bias. Calling him one of the greats for late night TV is laughable. Johnny Carson would kick the executives in the teeth for such blasphemy…

I’m not saying he can’t be funny, or never was. Some of his skits on the Colbert Report weren’t bad, just once he was on “Lame Night” everything he did was a part of political propaganda. Hard to believe when a program alienates 50%+ of their potential viewers, then couple that with downward trending MSM viewership overall that a program struggles to keep afloat. NOT…. Just my observations, not on here to throw stones. I’d be willing to bet though, that if a truly funny and intelligent man were to try his hand at it, and poke fun of each side from time to time and not dwell on politics, that may be very well recieved…. Funny host + funny and good natured guests = a win. Colbert was always spewing hatred towards half of American people, that’s not a good recipe for success.

Nielson ratings and Washington Examiner. 2025 2nd quarter ratings, Stephen Colbert averaged 1.9 million viewers. Jimmy Kimmel 1.5 viewers. Jimmy Fallon 1 million viewers. Greg Gutfeld cable show with only a fraction of Colbert’s budget averaged 3 million viewers. Johnny Carson averaged 9-11 million viewers and Jay Leno 5 million. Yes, I would say his ratings are in the toilet along with Kimmel and Fallon. Nice try with your TDS Trump comment.

Carson reruns would do better then any of the ones on today. I would like to see Dave Chappel take a slot. He'd have to clean it up for TV but he pokes fun at everyone, no agenda, just comedy. I doubt we'll ever have any more Johnny's, Carol's, Conway's, Korman's, At least we have the reruns...
I wonder if tap dancers walk into a room, look at the floor, and think, I'd tap that. I wonder about things.....

They got rude, crude, nasty and butthurt all at the same time it’s run its course they killed comedy with their woke crap now they die by it. It’s the circle of life they ran their course, all comedy is based on tragedy that’s what the 2 masks represent. That allows the left to be offended by anything at anytime.
SNL back when they were funny did a skit on woke before it was invented. Every and anything the people at a party said was related to a tragedy in one way or another.
