I recently planted several oak, chestnuts and white pine. I have a 40 gal sprayer to water. What can I add to fertilizer said trees? Thanks trees 6 feet

I lightly sprinkle the fertilizer around the plants, not too much or you can burn the roots, then water well. Can be done several tines a year. I will also spray Round-up around the tree's to kill any competing plants.

You shouldn't fertilize trees until they are well established. If you just planted them, I would wait until late Fall. A 10-10-10 NPK ratio works well for oaks. Use a slow release fertilizer.
