I like the article on last page, “The Last Trip”. It reminded me of the last trip trout fishing for the ol boy that took me to Canada when I was in 7th grade. He hooked me!

Some 40 years later we took him to his favorite trout lake in NW Ontario. He had guided on that lake hundreds of times. His mind was slipping a bit. Somehow, when we were having trouble catching enough fish for a shore lunch on that last trip, he remembered some fall spots he had never shown us before. We were catching trout like crazy all of the sudden and he was telling 60 years later old stories about the spots and people he guided. We had three boats all catching and he was grinning ear to ear. Told old stories all through the shore lunch. Great last trip!

I still haven't gotten my issue. Again. This is the 4th time in about 2 years . Somebody must be enjoying it.

50+ years ago, my Little League coach/ mail carrier used to read my outdoor mags before I got them.

It might be your mail carrier. We have one that screws up on a regular basis. She comes through the neighborhood and for the next 10 minutes people are walking around, exchanging their mail, giving it to the rightful owner like that episode of cheers where Cliff Claven did the same thing.

Last week I got a copy of the Lancaster Farmer. It’s a local newspaper dedicated to the farming community. I read it first before taking it up the street to my neighbor. LOL

Not sure where the problem is. We don't have a mailbox out by the road so we use a post office box. The first ten years we lived here, we went through 12 mail boxes. State highway department replaced it twice. We'd come home and our mail would be in the ditch or in a field.

My August FFG was in the PO box this morning. It looks kind of beat up.
