My oldest got his first paycheck for detassling yesterday, he made himself just shy of $200 for 4 days so far. It's his first "real" job, and he's rocking it. Makes me proud. Of course, his first comment when he saw it was "what the (This word is unacceptable on Trapperman) is $16 bucks taken out for?" (Taxes) Makes my libertarian heart swell with pride grin

on the inflation calculator that is a 927.98 pay check in 2025

if that was for a week that wasn't a bad starting salary

Next thing is get him to start investing 10% out of every check in a Roth IRA got all my kids doing that what a fight now they are the envy of most of their peers in their 50s and 60s. they pay cash for most everything and will retire with a nice account.

Base pay for him is $12/hr out in the field, and 7.25/hr on the drive there and back and during lightning stoppage. The bus stops at 2 other towns and they ride about an hour away.
