Wife does all the feeding on Fri, Sat and Sun Becuse my daughter works those days 12hr shifts. Nothing like a nice surprise waiting on you. First chick to hatch out of the king pigeons we got from you. Not the best picture and looks half dead in guessing Becuse it just hatched . Though I would share it here instead of txt or pm for others to see.
If I think about it I will post progress pictures over the comming days.

I'm to hear you got a squab from the kings Matt. The other egg will likely hatch tomorrow. When the squabs first hatch, when they aren't eating, they are almost always asleep and growing. They are often 3 times larger without 24 hours.

She just txt her mom I didn't know there were two eggs to start but she said she lost the other egg. No idea how or why. Zero details just what the wife repeated my daughter sent in a hurried from work txt that just came through. She is happy.

It's always nice to learn and be successful with new critters.

You can see why Diane calls them ULYTs, ugly little yellow things. They grow fast.

My boy has some Giant Runts but we have no King Pigeons. He has several types of fantails and just got some mookees this spring. Won his district fair with the mookees. We might have to get some King pigeons - his runts are not very good layers or hatchers
